Drone down!

Well, what can I say? I accidentally flew my drone right into the Concho River. Seems the object avoidance system doesn’t recognize water as an object to be avoided. Lmao. Oh well. You can watch the crash here.

I applied for a replacement drone since I purchased the insurance on it. Figured it might cost me some but at least not the full amount. Finally heard from DJI today and they’re wanting me to pay for a new drone, with a 15% discount. I suppose that’s better than nothing but what’s the point of the insurance? Haven’t finished my conversation with them yet so hopefully I’ll get this all straightened out soon. Actually had two paying gigs for this past Saturday but those fell through like a drone into the water. Too soon?
