Been a month??

So apparently it’s been quite some time since my last blog post. Shame on me!

I hope everybody is doing ok. Been a pretty good month, hell, month and a half for me. Got my replacement drone in. That process I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Ok, maybe I would…

The night I crashed the drone I ordered a set of floaties for it. Good thing, too. Yup, crashed it into the river again this past Sunday. FML, right? Lol. These Mini 2’s may be pretty badass but over water they are not great. It’s probably a physics thing but when you’re only 10’ above the water or less it seems to slowly sink towards the water as opposed to hovering like it’s supposed to. Again, I don’t know. Could be user error!

Celebrated my 40th birthday since my last blog post. Doesn’t seem much different honestly.

Last weekend I photographed a baby shower. That was a lot of fun. You can always tempt me into a gig with an offer of free food! Been going to the local baseball fields a lot the last few weeks to photograph my buddy’s adult softball team (click here to see the results). Go Gatorz Ballz! Had to throw that in there. Used my drone to film the last game. Quite a learning experience to find the right angles and heights from which to film but overall it came out alright.

Been filming the sunsets with my drone when I judge them to be adequately pretty. That makes for some very beautiful footage, let me tell ya! (click here to see some amazing sunsets!)

A customer at my day job has requested I take my drone and fly it up his radio tower. He suspects an antenna has a hole in it and wants a visual inspection. Seems easy enough. My only concern is the EM output from the antenna. This thing may have 100,000 watts of energy shooting right at my drone!
